Chimichurri – The South American Barbecue Dream

Chimichurri

Chimichurri is a sauce and marinade that originally comes from Argentina and Uruguay. It has become really popular and now you can find it in other parts of South America. It is a beautiful complement that makes your fish, veggies, poultry or meat dream come true. The rich aromas and flavours gives a south American touch to your barbecue.

Why not try it and invite your family or friends over for a classic Asado.

What you need

1 pot of oregano

1 pot of cilantro

1 pot of parsley

Olive oil

2 tbsp Red wine vinegar

1 chili

3 gloves of garlic

1 Shallot

Salt and pepper

Parsley, cilantro & Oregano

How to make

1. Chop the herbs, shallot and garlic.

2. Mix all the ingredients and season with salt and pepper.

3. Leave it in the fridge for 2-3 hours. This way the herb gets a chance to evolve and develop the flavours.

If you want, why not use half as a marinade and half as a sauce.
